News and Announcements

The Bow Valley Referees Association is a key stakeholder to ensuring Minor Hockey activities in Banff/Canmore are accessible and cost efficient.  For 3 seasons, the BVRA has had dwindling registrations and need to increase its membership. If the trend continues, the BVRA will be forced to bring in officials from other communities and the resulting travel expenses being billing to Banff MHA and Canmore MHA.

Officiating can be a rewarding (personally and financially) endeavour inside the game we support and cherish. Any person at least 13 years old as of Dec 31, 2017 is eligible to register for a 1 day clinic and become an official. In past years, several parents have come out and registered along with their teenager.
